Stadion Partizana je objekat sa najdužom sportskom tradicijom u Jugoslaviji.
Nalazi se na mestu koje je oduvek bilo središte najvažnijih fudbalskih zbivanja
u zemlji. Tu je pre Drugog svetskog rata bilo igralište i dom slavnog šampiona
BSK-a - Beogradskog Sportskog Kluba.
Neposredno po završetku velikog rata, a poštujući sportsku tradiciju, započeta
je izgradnja novog stadiona baš na tom mestu. Devetog oktobra 1949. godine je
na njemu odigrana prva utakmica, megdan su podelile Jugoslavija i Francuska
(1:1) u kvalifikacijama za Svetsko prvenstvo. Do danas, Stadion Partizana je
ugostio desetine najvećih klubova sveta i najjačih reprezentacija. On je deo
evropske i svetske istorije fudbala.
Stadion Partizana je u prvom periodu primao 55.000 gledalaca.
Poslednjih godina pooštreni su kriterijumi medjunarodnih fudbalskih
asocijacija, posebno u domenu bezbednosti i komfora gledalaca. U skladu s tim
zahtevima gledalište je 1998. rekonstruisano, ugradjena su sedišta, prošireni
prolazi za ulazak i izlazak publike, montirana savremena oprema, pa je time
